Performance & Talent supports various conversation types beyond the standard recurring check-in conversation. Here are a few additional conversation templates that can be utilised.

Goal Setting Conversation

  • Description: A conversation to set goals for the forthcoming period.
  • Prompts for Discussion:
  1. Agree on priority performance goals that clarify key priorities for the forthcoming period.
  2. Agree on personal development goals that inspire and enable personal success at work.
  3. Ensure goals are aligned with overall business objectives, accountable, assessable, agile, and aspirational.
  4. Schedule a date for the next Check-In to discuss progress.

Year in Reflection

  • Description: A reflection on achievements, learnings, and performance over the last year.
  • Prompts for Discussion:
  1. Discuss successes and impact over the last year.
  2. Identify key strengths used to drive performance and potential areas for improvement.
  3. Reflect on challenges, learnings, and personal development.
  4. Assess overall performance and set personal development priorities.

Check-in for Frontline Workers

  • Description: A short 10-minute check-in conversation for managers to hold periodically with employees.
