Manager: How to answer a Talent Snapshot for your Team

Samantha Mills Updated by Samantha Mills

The terminology your company uses for this feature may be different to 'Talent Snapshot'. If you use terms like 'Performance reviews', 'Annual appraisals', or 'Employee evaluations', this guide will still be relevant.

What are Talent Snapshots?

Talent Snapshots are the way your business is able to measure and review your teams performance and behaviours.

Depending on how your business has chosen to conduct Talent Snapshots they could be:

  • answered only by you as a manager
  • answered collaboratively by both managers and your team members
  • answered without any manager collaboration

You may go through this process one or more times each year, each time you complete a Talent Snapshot is called a 'Round'.

How do I complete a Talent Snapshot for a member of my team?

This guide is applicable for Talent Snapshot Rounds where your business requires you to respond, either as an Manager only Talent Snapshot, or where both Manager and Employee responses are required. You can use Save progress at any time to save your answers.

  1. Once you are happy with your responses, click Mark as Complete.

You will be asked if you are sure you wish to mark as complete.

Submissions cannot be undone.

  2. Your administrator may have configured the Talent Snapshot Round to share answers automatically with the employee.

If this is the case, you will be prompted that your responses will be automatically shared. You will need to confirm that you wish to go ahead.

Sharing cannot be undone.
  1. If your administrator has not selected that answers are automatically shared with the employee, when you mark as complete, the status will change from 'To Do' to 'Complete'.

Whilst the round is open, you can still view and edit any of your final submitted responses until the administrator has placed the round into a Frozen status.

If you are unsure of how Talents Snapshots have been configured at your organisation, please confirm this through your internal support channels.
