Automatic migration to OneAdvanced Identity

Joe Julian Updated by Joe Julian

As the release of the new user experience update approaches at the end of February, here is an important update regarding the authentication process for Performance & Talent. This information ensures your organisation is prepared for the upcoming adjustments.

The current situation

Over the past six months, communications have highlighted the importance of migrating to the new authentication service, OneAdvanced Identity. This migration is essential for completing the new user interface experience and reflects a commitment to providing the highest level of security while delivering a seamless user experience.

Previously, organisations that had not completed their migration before the release would temporarily lose access to services until the migration was complete. Recognising the disruption this could cause, steps have been taken to minimise the impact on organisations.

What’s changing

To minimise disruption and ensure continuity of service, access will no longer be removed. Organisations that have not contacted us by Monday 16 February 2026 to schedule to a migration to OneAdvanced Identity, will be automatically transitioned to the non-federated configuration on the same day, ensuring continued access to services.

What does this mean

If an organisation is automatically migrated to the non-federated configuration:

Single Sign-On (SSO) will no longer be available for Performance & Talent:

  • Users will continue to access the system using their existing email-based login credentials — there is no change to this part of the login process.
  • Users will be required to complete a new Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) step.
This MFA is new and separate from any MFA currently used as part of the existing SSO setup.

Users can complete this MFA using either:

  • Email authentication, or
  • An authentication app, such as Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator.

What are your options

Option 1: Automatic Migration to Non-Federated Identity (SSO Deactivated)

  • Inform users about the upcoming change. This guide explains the new MFA login process.
  • The migration will take place automatically on the same day, Monday 16th February 2026. Temporary downtime may occur while the migration is completed.
  • Single Sign-On (SSO) can be reconfigured later at a convenient time. Here are the instructions.

Option 2: Retain your Single Sign-On authentication:

  1. If retaining federated (SSO) authentication is critical, it is strongly recommended to complete the migration to OneAdvanced Identity before Monday 16th February 2026.
  2. Contact cr.clarrisa@oneadvanced.com to confirm the nominated SSO administrator and begin the migration process, or with any questions.

Thank you for prompt attention to this matter. Engagement and understanding during this transition are greatly appreciated. If you have any concerns or need help, please don't hesitate to contact us through cr.clarissa@oneadvanced.com or through Support.
