Frequently Asked Questions (for non-Federated customers)

Where can I find more resources on OneAdvanced Identity?

Do you have a change/migration plan?

  • You can refer to our guide on Migrations for more information.

How will I benefit?

  • Robust Security: The new platform employs industry-standard security protocols like OpenID Connect and SAML, ensuring robust user verification and protecting your data from unauthorised access.
  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): By implementing MFA, you'll add an additional layer of security to your user accounts, making it even more difficult for unauthorised users to gain access.
  • Access to Future Enhancements: This migration is a necessary step to enable your access to our upcoming, significantly improved user experience (UX/UI) project and all future platform innovations.
  • Seamless Integration: Our Identity service is designed for easy integration across OneAdvanced's web-based products, ensuring a consistent, secure experience that works effortlessly within our ecosystem.

What is the impact on me if this change is not implemented?

Failure to migrate to the Advanced Platform Identity Service will result in the future loss of access to the Performance & Talent application. This is because all platform updates, including the major UX/UI project, are built exclusively on this new Identity service. This migration is essential to ensure system access continuity including access to future enhancements.

What are the risks associated with the migration?

The primary risk is the planned period of service disruption during the migration, which is estimated to be two hours. We mitigate this risk by scheduling the change during a low-impact window agreed upon with you in advance.

Our technical team will be on standby throughout the process to resolve any issues immediately.

What is the Rollback / Backout plan once the migration has started?

There is no automated, one-click rollback function, the migration is a well-defined and tested process already validated with multiple customers.

  • We already know the customer single sign on is working with the existing Performance & Talent (Clear Review) Authentication.
  • We also know the Identity single sign on is working, as this is enabled for multiple organisations across the OneAdvanced Portfolio.

Do you have a suggested communication and engagement plan we can use for our employees?

We advise you to communicate a planned maintenance window to your users in advance. Given the migration time, we recommend announcing a half-day window to be safe.

For example:

"Please be aware that the Performance & Talent system will be unavailable on [Date] between [Start Time] and [End Time] for essential security and platform upgrades. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."

When we're on Identity, how long will sessions last?

Users will need to login to Performance and Talent once every 12 hours. This should be enough for them to remain logged in for their whole working day.

When we're on Identity, how often will our users need to do a Multi-Factor Authentication

Users will be asked to perform a multi factor authentication once every 30 days.
